Wes Moore Refuses to Answer Why He Lied About Bronze Star

Marylanders deserve the truth from their governor. Instead, Wes Moore continues to dodge accountability.

In a devastating interview with Fox News’ Will Cain, Moore was directly asked why he lied on his 2006 White House Fellowship application, claiming he had earned a Bronze Star — an award he did not receive until nearly two decades later.

Moore refused to answer the question, repeating vague talking points about his military service rather than addressing why he misled the public for years.

The Pentagon itself released a damning statement on the controversy:

“In 2006, Wes Moore listed a Bronze Star in his resume he didn’t have until two decades later. Wes Moore is a perfect example of a politician who inflates his resume and hopes no one notices.”

Moore’s refusal to come clean raises serious questions about his honesty. If he would misrepresent military honors — something sacred to those who serve — what else is he willing to lie about?

As Will Cain concluded, the issue is not Moore’s service but his truthfulness: “The question is whether or not you’re telling the truth as a politician… and this does not look like good evidence of your willingness to tell the truth.”

Maryland families already know the truth: Wes Moore lied about his record, squandered a $5.5 billion surplus, and pushed through the largest tax hike in state history. Now he refuses to answer for any of it.

Wes Moore can’t hide from the truth. And Marylanders are paying the price.
